Glazed Iron-clay

This series began after injuring and temporarily losing most of the function of my right hand. I was unable to continue creating the figurative “Observers” at the time, and I began focusing my aperture on the many different forms and faces these guardians possessed.
By slamming, carving and layering clay to form these masks I was able to heal from my injury. Instilled with the spirit of healing and protection, their presence and gaze continue to act as a bulwark to harm.
All Masks come with the necessary wire & accessories to mount against the wall
